What are the store hours? We are open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our regular store hours are Monday thru Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 10am-5pm.
Where exactly are we located? Lost Cities Beads is located just outside the heart of Old Town San Diego at 2802 Juan Street. We are just east of the Plaza del Posado, in front of Presidio golf course. For driving information please look at our Directions page.
Is there parking available? Free parking is still available behind the store in the gravel parking lot. The lot becomes paid public parking after 6pm.
Are classes offered through our store? We do not offer any formal classes. However we offer basic over-the-counter instruction (i.e. basic stringing, basic knotting and basic wire wrapping).
Do we do repairs? We do basic repairs of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc. However we do not have facilities to solder. Pricing varies.
Do we have sales? No. We like to keep our prices reasonable year round. However, we are happy to cut in half any strand over $10.
What is the return or exchange policy? Exchange or store credit only, within 30 days, with receipt.
What forms of payment are accepted? We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and personal checks.
Do we offer online ordering? No, but we can assist you by telephone ordering.
Can I order by telephone? Yes. There is someone who can answer your questions and take your order Monday through Friday and most weekends. We will take your credit card information and charge it for the amount of your purchase when you place the order. We pay insured shipping to you on purchases of more than $50; you pay shipping on amounts less than $50 and for any returns. Returns within 30 days of purchase will be credited to your credit card within three days of our receipt of the returned merchandise.
How often does new merchandise come into the store? We receive new shipments of beads and/or supplies every week.
How can I find out about new shipments? We invite you to sign up for our email notification about new shipments of special interest. Just send your email address to us at lostcitiesbeads@aol.com. We send out informative letters several times a year describing our new arrivals and you will be able to see them on the website's New Arrivals page.
